oops, too late. i just recently bought my hp1000cx -- got it monday. i guess
i'll just have to live with it. (luckily, i think i got a good deal for it --
$289.)
a 386 would be nice, but i suspect it would end up being beyond my budget.
i think i'll see if anyone is selling the palmtop paper on cd (or otherwise)
used -- $99 is a bit pricey for me at this point, especially if i'm primarily
going to run free software and not write any commercial applications!
thanks for all the info.
