Dragon Systems Technical Support
[0.56?OpenElement&FieldElemFormat=gif] Technical Note
Subject: Default Voicefile Location
Product: DragonDictate for Windows
Version: All
Description:
Is it possible to specify a different location for voice file creation
other than the DDWin program directory when creating a new user?
Solution:
There is no way to prevent user directories from being created off the
main "ddwin2\" directory. However, once the user has been created, the
username\ directory can be moved. For example, to
"\DDWIN2\USERS\username" instead of its default location
"\DDWIN2\username".
Once you've moved the files, change the appropriate line in the
ddwin.ini file, in the [Known Users] section, the right side of
"username=" to point to the directory that you've moved your voice
files to.
NOTE: You should move the username directory, not merely copy it. If
the original username directory remains in the DDWin2 directory, DDWin
will detect it and add that user back into the [known users] section.
