My girlfriend's current inability to find a job in her field in the Bay Area.
She's a medical records technician and may have a better chance in New England.

I'm quiting my current company (July 11 is my last day) and going to be
working on a contract for a small company in west Berkeley, and if all
goes well, I may be able to continue it via telecommuting from New
England.  We'll see.  But if it doesn't, hopefully through connections in
the Boston area, I'll be able to find a job.
