Hi Robert,
Yes, the bill will be re-introduced by Dianne next legislative
session. There is still one week left in this session but it doesn't
look like the bill is going to move in the next week.
As you know, the main problem here is Speaker of the House Finneran.
So, if you are thinking of a strategy on how to convince Finneran to
let the bill come up for a vote next session, you may want to consider
doing a campaign in Finneran's district (Dorchester) to try to get his
constituents to contact him in support of contraceptives coverage. I
think that's the only way we will ever get through to him!
Good luck and let me know what's going on and what I can do to help!
Shannon

Hi. I went to the ZPG meeting yesterday and "they" wanted me to get more
information. Basically, they wanted to know whether Diane Wilkerson was
planning on reintroducing this bill during the next legislative session.
Also, what's happening on the Coalition for Reproductive Choice (or whatever
it was/is called).
I'll be at Mass NARAL on Wed and I'll be asking them, too.
Thanks.
