Re: publicradiofan.com: CNET Radio?

It's probably not something I'd list because generally I only cover public
radio programs. (If I tried to cover commercial radio also, the database
would become too large for me to be able to keep it accurate. Besides, the
site would lose the public radio focus that makes it unique.)

Regardless of that, I hear that CNET is imminently going out of business
anyway. (They've already closed down their station here in Boston where I
live.) The David Lawrence program is going to another network, and the rest
of CNET is folding. Sorry I can't remember where I read this, or I'd
provide a link.

>BTW, I love your site. I heard about it on a Working Assets Radio show.

Are you talking about the show hosted by Laura Flanders? That's great, I
didn't know about the mention there. By any chance, would you happen to
know either the date or the general topic of the show where it was
mentioned, so I could find it in the archive?

Incidentally, a couple of years ago until they had to sell it, Working
Assets owned a whole radio station (KWAB Boulder, CO, and Laura Flanders
was one of the hosts there). Though that was technically a commercial
station, I counted that one as being "close enough" to public radio (due to
its non-profit ownership, community orientation, focus on social issues,
etc.) and did list it on my site.

Anyway, I'm pleased to hear that you enjoy the site, and I hope you will
continue to find it useful.

Best wishes,
Kevin
