I had a phone interview with a financial software company (Barclays Global Investors) yesterday, but I'm not too hopeful since there's so much competition now. Prospects for jobs are very dim currently. Noelle may very well be getting a job in San Francisco. It pays much better than here, but we'd have to scrape by if she took it since I would probably still be unemployed. I may consider going back to school there, perhaps grad school. > What do you know about former > links_2_go people? Alan seems happily employed. I haven't heard about nor from Marc. Matthew Lerner lost his job in NY city; last I heard he was moving to Michigan. Jen Wilson, I think, is still doing contract jobs. Allegedly, Debbi Baird is gainfully employed (doing what, I don't know). Jonathan is working for State Street Bank in Quincy on contract through an agency and is hating it; he said he may be getting a contract for his COBOL stuff and will then quit State Street. Mark Reimers is staying in Sweden -- he really likes the work, 'though he doesn't seem to like the office politics. Simon (who you may not know?) is still in Kentucky enjoying teaching at a college there, but he dislikes the town since it's so small and there's nothing to do. I guess light_speed/topical_net/links_2_go is still alive 'cause I just sent another batch of CORBA health coverage checks and the letter didn't get returned :-). > last I > heard from somebody there was Isan -- he seems to be > the last R&D person left after Alan switched jobs. Poor Ishan. He is/was a smart boy and he's being ground down by Jeff and friends. Ugh. > My firm is going through a turmoil -- being (it seems) > sold to cover expenses.
