America is a country of consumers. There is no point having computer programmers or scientists here when computer work and research can be done so much cheaper in other countries. People are no longer able to fix their own car and don't want to learn. Why not have the same with their computers, software, and pharmaceuticals? The faster we can dumb down the American population, the more Americans can consume and use products without any curiosity and keep the economy going. (Current copyright laws are especially helpful because it becomes impossible or illegal to reverse-engineer things like software and pharmaceuticals. This should keep knowledge in the hands of those who really need it -- professionals in other countries.)
