Looks like reloading ME is a reality. DO you happen to > know what files are necessary to delete in the WIndows and System directories > to reload Windows? If not I'll delete all the Windows files and reload. No, I don't. The only time I've ever had to do something like that was when I installed Linux instead :-). > Very > annoying. If you haven't done any recent back-ups, you might look at http://www.toms.net/rb/ It's a single floppy version of Linux that lets you poke around. You might be able to mount your Windows partition by doing "mount /dev/hda1 /mnt" and then copy stuff off. (It might have "mdir" and "mcopy", equivalents to DIR and COPY in DOS; if not, you might be able to mount a formatted floppy (probably "mount /dev/floppy /floppy" or something) and use "cp" to copy the files).) There are also single CD versions of Linux (I think I have one called BBC Linux; remind me to bring it up next time I see you so you can copy it). > Take care. > ME
