Joseph Chamie, Director of the Population Division at the UN, conveniently didn't mention that world population will approach 9 billion people by 2050. Low birthrates are not a problem -- it's the distribution of people that is the problem. More immigration would allow the human population to be more evenly distributed throughout the globe.
