Ignore my phone message -- there's no problem. Lincoln Ave. is just around the corner from the Yahoo! Yellow Pages address. In fact, it's *even* *closer* to the bus than the other address. Phew! Anyway, that guy called back about that apartment. It's still available, but the chick that's living there now won't be outta there 'til the middle of the month. He's not showing the place until after she moves out. Brian and I drove down around there. It looks OK (although, there's a big open lot right next to it -- it looks funny -- presumably to build yet-more-housing). It's a 2 BR. I don't remember the ad, so I don't recall if cats are permitted. That part of is kinda funky 'cause one side has all this new spiffy stuff and the other side looks like West Oakland -- sorta run down with Bible Bookstores, Thrift stores, and bars. It's very suburban -- devoid of most crowd-oriented culture. But this place is 1 block away from the BART station, so escaping is easy. Oh, and there's a bike lane going down towards where your work would be -- at least, part of the way. The rest just has "Share the Road" signs. It looks doable, but keep the safety flag.
