the BART station.  Feel free to apply, but I vote for continuing to look.

I think you may get more options if, when calling a place that doesn't say
"no pets", you don't immediately ask if they accept pets.  Wait until the
question is specifically asked or until you are actually offered the place
(at which point, if they say "no", you say that you don't want the place).
Also, when you *are* offered a place, don't ask about "pets", but rather
"a female cat".  That *may* make them more amenable.
