Called the Working Assets people.  Things to fix the voicemail indicator
on the phone:

1) Go into "Messages" and then "Erase All Messages".  This erases any SMS
   messages; these hang around and obscure some of the other messages.

2) After you're done listening to your voicemail, remember to hit '*'
   (star) when logging out; it will say "Goodbye" when you do this.  This
   will resynchronize the phone or whatever.
