Hi Robert,
I added a second ethernet card to a computer which is connected to DSL and
networked with other computers using TCP/IP. This computer address is
192.168.1.50. The card I added is IP 192.168.1.39. In the COntrol Panel
Network for the card, I added WINS 191.72.1.4 and 191.72.1.8 which is the
Linux and my other computer. Gateway 191.72.1.2 and 191.72.1.0. DNS
191.72.1.4.
The Gateway for the DSL group is 192.168.1.2. WINS 192.168.1.90. DNS
216.41.101.15 and 204.17.65.2.
I can't ping 191.72.1.4 or 8. I can ping 192.168.1.39 and 50. The domain
is PDOMAIN on this system and TDOMAIN on the other system. each has their
own NT server.
The termination is at the last computer and I checked the cable for opens
and shorts. The lights flash once a second or so. No hardware conflicts.
Can't think of anything else.
How are you doing? The last email had an FTP PGP site for Linux. Were you
able to decode the encrypted message I sent (which was the same as the
previous one almost)?
Take care.
