If you manage to dig out an old computer for doing LAN, two things:
1) ISA ethernet cards are available on eBay for $1 each.
2) I might have some extra ISA ethernet cards at home sitting around. Please
remind me to look for 'em if you need 'em.
I also discovered that you don't need a hub if you have only 2 computers in
your network. If you use a cross-over RJ-45 ethernet cable, you can just
connect 'em together. In this case, however, you'll have to have 2 ethernet
cards in one of your computers -- one to serve the LAN and the other to
connect
to the WAN (via your ISP).
