I read a book on vegan nutrition and it said that very little B12 is actually needed. When I first became a vegan, I was diagnosed as anemic. But, now that my body has grown used to my diet, I am no longer anemic. I do happen to take multivitamins which have B12 in them (multivitamins help my hand problems for some reason), but I probably would be OK even if these multivitamins didn't have B12 in them. (A number of recipes I have use nutritional yeast which has B12 in it, so I could at least get it from that.) > >One cookbook I have uses very few spices: People Who Love Animals cookbook. > > > > We > >don't use it much since it is so bland, but it's heavy with tahini. > > I'll take a look at that one. I've heard of it but never looked into it. Yeah. You can't get it in bookstores. I bought it years ago at a San Francisco Vegetarian Society thingy at SFSU when I used to go there in 1989.
