I assume that WINFAX and eFAX are Windows-based software. I don't want to
be dependent upon Windows for my faxing.
I actually bought a cheap ISA data/voice/fax internal modem which I was
going to install in Noelle's (Linux) machine. Then, I could do faxing
that way. (I actually wanted to install it so I could use Noelle's
computer as a digital answering machine. And, in fact, I could
experiment with speech recognition....) But, I'm a lazy bum.
This, of course, doesn't solve the scanning/copying problem, 'though.
I just don't know where I'd find the space to put a scanner. That's why I
was thinking of a combo-thing.
The local unemployment office to has copy and fax machines which I can use
for free. I'll just continue to do that.
