As your constituent, I urge you to vote against the nomination of James 
Leon Holmes to the federal bench.  Holmes's views on reproductive rights 
and the role of women in society fall too far out of the American 
mainstream to trust that he will be an effective and impartial judge.

Throughout his decades of anti-choice activism, James Leon Holmes has 
employed rhetoric that reveals his lack of impartiality when it comes to 
issues of reproductive rights.  He has compared abortion to slavery and 
pro-choice advocates to Nazis.  

The American judicial system is the last line of defense for the rights of 
women and families.  As your constituent, I trust you to ensure that 
federal judges--who are appointed for life--are willing to uphold the 
rights that Americans hold dear.  I urge you to reject the nomination of 
James Leon Holmes to the Eastern District of Arkansas.
