Hi Robert,

If it's only an interview, they should NOT be having you sign
an NDA. An NDA is a contract. An interview is simply a
negotiation. Any attempt for them to have you sign an NDA
for a mere interview is invalid on its face because YOU are
not receiving something in exchange.

If they press you, tell them you're open to interviewing with
respect to anything except trade secrets.

No company can constrain any interviewee that they've not
hired from working for or starting their own company. That
would be highly against public policy. If they could, any
company could merely interview everyone in the same industry,
have them sign a NDA, and then create their own monopoly.
Because of that, NO court in the nation would enforce such
a document.

Hope that helps. My best to Noelle.

Sue
