This national event is organized by activists around the country to raise awareness about the plight of farmed animals and to raise money for Farm Sanctuary (www.farmsanctuary.org). WHEN: Saturday, October 2nd, World Farm Animals Day! 11:00 a.m. registration 12:00 walk WHERE: Splash Pad Park in Oakland - during the Grand Lake Farmer's Market! This year we'll be right on the lawn with all the other vendors. Great exposure and potential on-the-spot walkers! WHO: Organizers: Colleen Patrick-Goudreau and Christine Morrissey HOW DO I REGISTER? Please send your registration information to Christine Morrissey, 710 Shady Glen, Martinez, CA 94553. *There is a $10 registration fee that entitles each registrant to a Walk for Farm Animals T-shirt designed by Mutts" comic creator Patrick McDonnell.
