Yes, that's what you want.  You want to leave on the wireless part, but
not make it a router.  Probably you can do this by selecting something
other than DHCP, PPPoE, or static IP (probably something like "no
router").  Then, it shouldn't matter what address you set the router to
('though I wouldn't set it to the same as any other computer or router
otherwise things might get lost/screwed up).

Here's where it gets complicated.  Did you want to "relay" packets from
one wireless access point to another?  I don't think this is possible with
the Linksys routers.  I think you may have to buy a separate "repeater"
box for that, or you could set up a Linux box to do this ('though I've

seems to indicate that the wrt54g supports a "client" mode.  It also seems
to indicate that you can buy a USB wireless "card".
