I found that if I set
security = share
I can actually access the printer (which was my original goal). But,
oddly, instead of getting a printer, it just browses /tmp, as if it were a
shared directory.
So, when I do
$ smbclient "//MINI/HP LaserJet 5L" -U robertsmb
and I type "dir", it just shows the contents of /tmp .
I included my printer entry below.
Incidentally, the printer works fine on the Mac itself.
Does anyone know why it accesses my printer as if it were a share rather
than a real printer?
