OK.
I learned the hard way that you can take the unwieldy wheeled part off the rest 

of the office chair. Too bad we did not figure out this before. It was hard to 
get in the car, but I managed. Then when I got here I pulled out the chair and 
the wheeled part fell off(it's not broken I guess it just comes off).It would 
have been easier to put in the car without the wheeled part. oh well.
