Hi Noelle,
I've checked the prices and schedules and I do believe
that I'll make it up. I haven't yet gotten my ticket, though.
Here's the itinerary I'm planning on Amtrak on
Friday 11/24/06:
LA-Santa Barbara
Dep: 7:30 am Arr: 10:11 am
Santa Barbara-LA
Dep 7:05 pm Arr: 9:45 pm
That would give us about 9 hours to play. :-)
I haven't been up to SB in years, and when I was
it was to attend a wedding on a boat. Any chance
we can do a ride/walk-through?
Also, did you want to eat out or at your Dad's?
Let me know.
These are, of course, my plans, barring any emergencies.

Wow, it's November already.Have you decided whether you want to come up and
visit us in SB on the 24th?
I'm going to Minnesota for a week in December.brrrr.I thought it was time
to visit cousin Rob & family, since I have not met his 2 kids yet, and I'm
not working.Rob rejoined the Army and now he is a recruiter(he tells me
this is the Army's #1 priority now); his former unit shipped out to Iraq,
so I guess this is better for him.He has 2 more years of recruiting in
MN.Robert can't come with me on this trip, so maybe I have a better chance
of not getting into political discussions. My cousin is pretty liberal, but
I think his wife is a REpublican.
I'm lookin g forward to Nancy Pelosi as Speaker. It's funny around here, the
San Francisco liberals are crying foul:"she's not progressive at all!!"
