I decided to order the computer from an outfit in the east bay. It'll be delivered via UPS, so I imagine I'll receive it late this week. (After a small bit of research, I found that the GX260 did not accept the type of memory I had, so that was not an option, even though it's much cheaper.) So, my plan is to use the memory I bought, use my old EIDE 7200rpm hard drive, and the new IDE-based So_ny DVD writer I bought. (The GX270 has both a SATA interface and an IDE interface. Unfortunately, there is only 1 IDE interface, so both the DVD writer and the hard drive will need to share the same interface.) > From: http://www.UnityElectronics.com/~Info > Date: Sun, 4 Feb 2007 19:07:04 -0800 (PST) > Subject: Re: Unity Electronics Order Confirmation [Order 71496] [#1455488] > > Robert > > Order Confirmation from UnityElectronics.com > Date: 2/4/2007 > Order: 71496 > Terms: Credit Card > Rep: Unity Electronics > Via: Ground > > Dell OptiPlex GX270 Desktop w/ P4 2.8GHz / 512KB, 256MB, 40GB HD, Gigabit Ethernet, Win XP Pro, GX270-2800-B10, Refurbished
