replacement computer

I decided to order the computer from an outfit in the east bay. It'll be
delivered via UPS, so I imagine I'll receive it late this week. (After a
small bit of research, I found that the GX260 did not accept the type of
memory I had, so that was not an option, even though it's much cheaper.)

So, my plan is to use the memory I bought, use my old EIDE 7200rpm hard
drive, and the new IDE-based So_ny DVD writer I bought. (The GX270 has
both a SATA interface and an IDE interface. Unfortunately, there is only
1 IDE interface, so both the DVD writer and the hard drive will need to
share the same interface.)
