The COA will be complete soon. I am listing proposed changes. I do not have specific and should have within a day or two, but more will come by next week. VTA plans to implement changes in three stages with stage one beginning this July. Lines 13, 14, 15, 16, 17, 18 and 19 would use small buses. The next stage will be implemented in January 2008 and the last in July 2008. Here is a brief summary---- Lines for deletion: 37, 38, 44, 59,76, 101, 104, 122, 140 and 305 Lines for consolidation: 36 39 (with Line 71) 58 (with Line 57, to operate 30 midday, 15 peak) 67 85 (increase in service on Line 23 Lines with reduced service: 81 (operate between Downtown where-I-live and Vallco Park) Lines that will be Community Bus Routes 11 (NEW - Japan/Ayer - Downtown) 13 14 (NEW - part of current 17) 15 16 17 18 (NEW - Part of Line 68 - Gavilan College) 19 32 34 40 42 (NEW - Seven Trees/Branham) 43 (NEW - ???) 45 (NEW - ???) 48 49 88 (will only service 1/2 of the current routing) River Oaks Dash Great America Lines that will be BRT 522 - will remain the same 523 - Operate from De Anza along Steven Creek to Downtown where-I-live and continuing on Santa Clara/Alum Rock terminating at Alum Rock LRT. This line's frequency would drop from 15 to 12 minutes. 555 - Operate on a small segment of Lines 54 and 55. 568 - Operate between Downtown where-I-live and Santa Theresa LRT. New Express Lines 168 - Operates between Gilroy with one stop in Morgan Hill using 101/85/87 to Downtown where-I-live, operating 30 minutes during peak. 181 - not sure of the routing, Fremont/Downtown SJ, every 15 minutes during peak. Routes with Decrease Service: 27 - Route would operate between Santa Theresa and Good Sam 31 - Route would operate 30 during peak and 60 minutes during midday. 33 - Route would operate 40 minutes all day 35 - 46 - Midday service would improve to 30 minutes 47 - 51 - Route would operate 45 during peak 52 - Route would operate 20 minutes during peak 53 54 - Midday would improve to 30 minutes 61 - New Line ???? operate 30 minutes all day 62 - Service would decrease to 30 minutes all day 63 - Route would operate 30 minutes during midday 65 - Route would operate hourly all day 82 - Midday service would improve to 30 minutes. 103 Route Modifications: Line 64 service between where-I-liveltrain and Penitencia Creek LRT is being discontinued. From where-I-liveltrain Line 64 will assume the current Line 81 from Park/San Fernando to White/McKee on McKee. Line 81 service east of Downtown SJ will be provided by Line 64. Line 81 service west of Downtown SJ will be provided every 30 minutes by Line 81. Increases in service: Line 23 operate 12 mintues. Line 25 operate 10 minutes all day between Alum Rock and Valley Medical. I wonder why this line wasn't considered for BRT? Lines 26/60 will have segments of their route operating 15 minutes all day with the less travelled segments operating 30 minutes. I don't know which segments. Lines 71 would operate 15 minutes during peak Lines 72 and 73 would operate 15 minutes during midday. Line 77 would operate 15 minutes during midday and peak. 180 every scheduled will be timed to meet bart - so service will drop from 30 to 15 during the day. I don't have complete, details, but these were my notes. I will post more information as I receive. Dwayne
