OK, fixed it. Apparently, you need to reset it. The way to do this is disconnect it from the computer, turn it off for at least 5 seconds. Then, you can turn it on again and plug it into the computer. It's working fine now. Since resetting the iPod also resets the play counts, I downloaded Doug's Applescript for iTunes which will change the play count on tracks. The menu for scripts at the top of iTunes looks like a paper scroll and is between the "Windows" and "Help" menus. Just select the items you wanna change and then click on the "Add or Subtract Play Count" menu item. Once the play counts have been incremented, the tracks will disappear from the "KPFA new" smart folder.
