It is hard to sell a house these days. There is so much new housing being built in Portland; tall towers of condos. When you come and visit I will take you to the Great Vow Monastery in Portland. A "great turning" in health care should happen. Distancing yourself from your coworkers' whining is probably a good idea. Did you go to the Land of the Medicine Buddha Retreat Center? That looks like a great place with the blue skinned Buddhas all over the place. I am working answering phones this weekend. Noelle <http://dummy.us.eu.org/noelleg> wrote: Hi, how are you? My cousin the recruiter is now stationed in the Portland area. Unfortunately, they have not been able to sell their house in Minnesota yet and have been living with his wife's uncle. I was hoping we could go up and visit all of you, but I don't want to come until they are settled into their own home. The hospital I work in is losing money, especially labor costs. They don't want to lay off people. I know my job is not on the line. Well, the whole healthcare system is so dysfunctional. I don't know anyone who is really happy with it (except the insurance companies?). My job is draining. and the coworkers I spend the most time with complain alot. I'm trying not to get attached to their perceptions. I went to a Labor Day weekend yoga retreat in Santa Cruz and that was helpful. Anyway, have a happy birthday Noelle
