It sounds like Robert is getting appropriate treatment. He should go ahead
with the tests and treatment as recommended.

I do not think you should go ahead with surgery until I return on 3/17.
Did the MRI show a ruptured disc with pressure on the spinal cord? Of
course if the problem gets worse and it's an emergency, go ahead with the
surgery, and I can return anytime since I have trip interruption insurance
for emergency.  Otherwise I will phone you when I return and discuss when
I can get there to discuss your case with the Dr. We just arrived in
Delhi, India yesterday after our trip in Bhutan.

I will try to check email daily so keep me informed.
