tracking hours

Yeah, you may be able to use Workrave to track your hours.  Right click on 
the sheep and select "Statistics".  You can look at the Daily Usage.  That
may or may not reflect your actual hours worked -- you should check.
There's also the hours of activity just beneath the "Statistics" heading
on the right, to the right of the Date.
