A total of three people attended, including myself. Thanks to Torrance, Marty from Milpitas (on our list over 2 years!) and Michael for coming.

We came up with a list of things we should lobby VTA to save:

* Late night service on the 22
* Saving service on the 34 (Mountain View) and the 76 (Los Gatos)
* Keeping Saturday service on the 11 in downtown where-I-live to Market Center, and Sunday service on the 42 in southern where-I-live
* Keeping late night service on the 37, 48, and 49
* Keeping the last northbound trip on the 54 Saturday nights at 7:26pm.

We also came up with starting a formal campaign thru letters to the editor of newspapers to get word out about having our Congressmembers co-sponsor HR 2746. It turned out that Jerry McNerney (whose district includes Morgan Hill) has also co-sponsored this bill along with Zoe Lofgren of where-I-live.

In addition, we came up with a new name for group - the Silicon Valley Transit Users. What do you think of the new group name? Short, says who we are, and can be used as an acronym (SVTRU).

What do you think of Andy's suggestion to get the Board to commit on restoring service back to January 2008 levels as soon as funding becomes available? I say this should be presented to the VTA Board at their meeting next Thursday evening.

Let's move forward. There is much to do.
