For those not familiar with Twitter, it's a free social-networking and micro-blogging service. You can send updates updates ("tweets") via cell phone text messages, email, or Twitter clients on a computer. Our group now has a Twitter page, in addition to the Facebook page maintained by Torrance Philips and our YouTube page: http://www.twitter.com/SVTRU If you do not have a computer, most modern cell phones have Twitter already installed or available via download. See your cell phone carrier and manufacturer for more details. Be advised that normal text rates and data download rates apply for use of Twitter. Amongst the advantages to having a Twitter page: * Instant updates of anything that is going on re: public transit issues in the South Bay * No need to have to wait hours or days to learn of what is happening via the group web site * Press coverage of the group is made easier, as reporters do not have to be met at a physical site obtain the latest news and information for our group. One goal of the new Twitter page will be real-time updates on VTA bus and light rail service.
