Definitely. And videocasts (vcasts), too.

Depends on what you want it for. It's easier to snuggle up to than a
desktop.

Yeah, there are repeated complains about that.
The only advantage I could see is if you want to draw pictures or,
perhaps, read on-line books. Otherwise, it's like a laptop.
A powerbook could be an option, too. With a docking station for a
powerbook laptop, you can hook it up to your existing monitor, too. But,
obviously, it only makes sense to do that if you use the laptop part at
least some of the time.
