Actually, I cannot see your profile publically on the internet. (I tried.) So, that will probably make it harder for people to find you. > Of course I still > want only Gail G to show to people going to my Profile and not my last > name. Since I thought the whole reason for my using LinkedIn was so that > I could get a job more easily - potential employers could find me. I make my profile completely public, but you may not want that. > Does that mean that potential employers looking for > candidates to hire can't find me and my information in my Profile? Possibly not. > Please let me know if there is anything we need to change about this. So > far no one has contacted me from having used LinkedIn where they want me > to send them my Resume and want to find out more information about me > regarding possibly wanting to hire me. You may want to read http://learn.linkedin.com/settings/#profile_settings . After reading that, go to https://www.linkedin.com/secure/settings to set your profile. Finally, just because you have Linkedin and an accessible profile doesn't mean that people will contact you. The job market is terrible and probably will be for the next few years. So, I would rely more on cold calling, unpaid internships, and networking, including making contacts through Linkedin, than on passively hoping someone will contact you. > Thanks. > Gail
