Subject: Forward message about Bea--

are you going to FL?
*MAYBE?? ...newest e-mail to Bea
Subject line:  How about Rebate?

Hi Bea-

At first I wondered what Rebate?.. but then I got it.  Good one, Bea.

I'm sorry to hear about your diagnosis.  No, Susan didnâ??t tell me what stage
was determined regarding your colon cancer.  Apparently the chemo is making
you fatigued or maybe the illness itself.  I also said the same thing about
myself as an excuse for my laziness when I had my brain tumor.  Thinking
that we are similar in that way--in how we see ourselves.  No one else every
said I was lazy and Iâ??ll bet others didnâ??t call you lazy either!

I hope that there is something that helps you with all that you are going
through.  I certainly know that Jan and Caleb are wonderful, kind and
loving.  Thatâ??s how they always made me feel. When I wasnâ??t feelinâ?? so
hot
the thing that helped me the most was sending out loving thoughts to all who
were suffering.  I have been grateful that I had learned and practiced
â??mindfulnessâ?? (focused attention on breath, body sensations, thoughts etc)
since the 70â??s.

Ram Dass gives a web cast once a month from Hawaii as he can no longer able
to travel since his stroke.  He calls it â??The Strokeâ?? so that he doesnâ??t
own
it and take it on personally.  You know how we often say he/she suffered a
stoke.  At least thatâ??s what I think where heâ??s at when he says this.  He
was â??strokedâ?? in 1997 and had only a 10% chance of survival so I think that
he is doing pretty darn good.  And he is happy!

Marnie is home now and today I had to drive her home from the mechanic since
she got stuck on the side of the road on her way to see her psychiatric
nurse.  Now she canâ??t have an appointment until maybe Friday.  I thought
Ma was better with medical care than - apparently not. Oy!

So I heard Candy came to visit you as well.  I speak with her on the phone
occasionally.  Candy is the perfect name for her since she is soo sweet.

Had to laugh when you said Ted  will outlast us all.  Thatâ??s what Richard
and I are always saying.  Big chuckle.  We have to or rather need to see him
this week since Richard had Sears install 2 air conditioners on his credit
card for Ted., so Ted owes him about $700 buckaroos. Ted loves the air
conditioners but he has a tight fist when it comes to parting with his
moolah. Smile.

So if your are up for a visit at any time just let me know and I could fly
down to see you.  We had planned on seeing you this year anyway.  It might
be only me since Richard has a hard time getting away from work.  He often
says thatâ??s why his name is Rich-hard.  For awhile he liked to call himself
Rich as he thought it would bring him luck. Sometimes I think that he has a
wee bit of Irish in him as he seems to be superstitious the way  the Irish
do.

So take care and may you be as free as you can from pain.

In love,

Margaret
