It's mixed, I think. I'm surprised that Hawgs would be considered
family-unfriendly. But, I think Gordon Bierch and a few other places are
not terribly family-friendly.
Certainly, a sports bar is not family-friendly!
To me, the real problem here is high student university tuition. If it
were lower, students would be able to hang out in cafes and other places.
So, really, the sad part is that students don't (or, in some cases, aren't
able to) vote against the twits in Sacramento.
