Hello Margaret- It looks like Ted will not be able to move in there(Zelma Lacey House) after all. He has been hospitalized and is at MGH. I waited to find out what the prognosis was and it looks like you folks were correct he will and does need all around the clock nursing care! He was brought in to the hospital by ambulance with symptoms of severe weakness and bleeding from his rectum. I gave my permission to do a sigmoidoscopy since a colonoscopy would have been too risky in his condition. The findings were that he has Ulcerative Colitis. They are not allowing him to go home and want him to go to rehab possibly today or tomorrow. I would like to speak to you this morning more about this and will try calling you or perhaps you could call me. I need to go out for awhile this morning and I also need to set up with Mass General immediately where Ted should go for rehab and possibly for long term nursing care. Talk to you soon.
