a modest proposal

I was thinking about Marnie and Ted Cate.  Here's my idea:

 1) Train Ted to shoot a gun.
 2) Buy him a gun.
 3) Live at Marnie's apartment.
 4) Shoot anyone that tries to get in.
 5) Ted will go to prison, have a place to live, and get health care.
 6) Marnie moves back in.

And Marnie could even live in Ted Cate's apartment while all this is
happening.

How's that for an idea?

(BTW, I was thinking that Marnie should have just dumped the drugs into
the garbage and made sure everyone saw her do that, instead of bringing
them to the police station.  Then, at least, people would understand that
she didn't like having the drugs around, rather than leaving them thinking
that she took the drugs to sell.)
