Cate Jr. CHARLESTOWN, Mass. -- Theodore F. Cate Jr., 88, died Jan. 2, 2011, at Ma General Hospital in Boston. He was born Feb. 8, 1922, in Manchester, N.H., to Theodore and Anna Belle (Smith) Cate and had resided in Charlestown for many years. Prior to retirement, Mr. Cate was employed with U.S. Trust Company of Boston. He was a talented artist and his works were enjoyed by both family and friends alike. Family includes his sister, Joan E. Peters of Manchester, N.H.; and a cousin, Margaret M. of N.H. He was predeceased by his longtime companion, Helen Ann Kenney of Charlestown. SERVICES: Calling hours will be Friday from 10 to 11 a.m. at Cate & Johnson Funeral Home, 573 Pine St., corner of Harrison Street, in Manchester. Funeral service will be conducted Friday at 11 a.m. in Cate & Johnson Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow at Pine Grove Cemetery in Manchester. Donations may be made to a charity of one's choice.
