Subject: Invitation: Palo Alto Professional Development Group (Sat, March 19)

Hi All,
You are invited to our next Palo Alto Professional Development meeting. Â I
started this group with the purpose of helping individuals that are both
under-employed and unemployed reach their target career goals. Â We had our
kick-off meeting in January which was a great success, and look forward to
building this group to help those in the community succeed in their career.

Our next meeting is on Saturday, March 19 @ 11:00am at the Peets Coffee in
Palo Alto (Embarcadero & El Camino Real) in the Town & Country shopping
center.

Even if you are currently employed, you can add to this group with your
advice, suggestions, passing on the word, and by bringing your friends to
the event. Â 

Please RSVP no later than Monday, March 14 so we will know how many people
to expect. Â

Our Guest Speaker: Ken Yap

Mr. Yap spent 17 years in tech and has owned a business in financial
services for 7 years now. 

Mr. Yap often speaks about career development to professional groups and at
Santa Clara University's MBA program. Â 

Quote from Mr. Yap: "I find that the majority of people are looking for the
next salaried job and only a few are looking for long term career/business
goals. The mindset and requirements on skill sets are very different between
these groups."
