I hope this doesn't become a rathole, but...
It seems that the ethernet/networking performance of my Debian machine is
a bit slower than that of my Ubuntu machine. They are comparable
machines, 'tho they are different (one is an Intel Mac Mini and the other
a Dell). Both are connected via the same ethernet switch and router
configuration. But, when ping'ing from the Debian side, it's about 10%
slower, no matter what I ping.
The driver is the e1000 driver on the Debian side and a forcedeth driver
on the Ubuntu side.
Neither machine has any firewalls, but both are using miredo.
Is this just some funkiness that's to be expected?
