This year marks the 26th anniversary of Meatout, the world's largest annual grassroots diet education campaign. Events in celebration of the Meatout are taking place around the globe. More information on the Meatout is available at http://www.meatout.org
The following Meatout events will take place in the San Francisco Bay Area over the next three weeks.
Date/Time: Thursday March 17, 11:30 - 1pm
Location: where-I-live State University, in front of the Student Union
Features: We will be serving vegan burgers & riblets to students with literature. We will also have a table with condiments and additional information.

Location: Sonoma State University
Features: We will have literature to hand out, as well as display boards and viewing documents.

Location: UN Plaza, San Francisco
Features: Serve vegan food to 500+ protesters at the ANSWER Coalition's annual protest against the Iraq war (http://www.answercoalition.org/sf/).

Location: First Unitarian Universalist Church, 1187 Franklin Street (at Geary), San Francisco, CA 94109
Features: The San Francisco Vegetarian Society and Unitarians for the Ethical Treatment of Animals are celebrating The Great American Meatout. The event will include a delicious vegan luncheon, and two great speakers -- Dr. Michael Klaper of Truth North Clinic, and Bob Linden of "Go Vegan Radio." Educational materials and a raffle will also be part of the lively scene. Donation of $8 requested for lunch; sliding scale for students and seniors. Please RSVP at 415-273-5481.
