Actually, I use "suck" to download the articles for later reading.
I just looked at my script and it never passed either the user name nor a
password to retrieve the articles. But, it does first try
"news.sonic.net" and, if that doesn't work, uses "supernews.sonic.net".
This may be the first time it has ever tried the supernews feed, so
perhaps that is why I never ran into this problem before.
In any case, is it the case that "news.sonic.net" does not require a
password (authentication), but "supernews.sonic.net" does?
