Hi, fellow plant eaters,

I hope you're enjoying the long, warm days of summer.

Last October, we went to a new vegan Filipino restaurant in Downtown Oakland. Well, this will our last opportunity to eat there as a group because No Worries is closing its doors and transitioning into a food truck operation. So starting in September, you might be able to partake of their unique cooking in your own neighborhood!

Meantime, No Worries is still on Franklin at 14th St., just a block from Golden Lotus. The menu is good, and since everything's vegan, we can order anything! We enjoyed our meals there last time, and I'm really looking forward to going back.

I pay Meetup about $200 per year to organize this group. And that doesn't include the time and energy I spend choosing restaurants, making reservations, answering emails, and such. So please chip in a couple bucks to reimburse me, either here or at the event (try to remember so I don't need to ask).

If you RSVP and then discover that you can't come, update your RSVP right away so someone else can come.

And if you're bringing guests (great!), please put their first names in your RSVP comment so I can make name tags for them too.
