Wow, good for you. Consulting jobs do pay well. Now you are
self-employed for 2011. That is also good. You can deduct things
like mileage and cell phone and computer. Your deductions for AHIA
membership and education will be higher as a self-employed person.
Make sure to read the tax forms carefully for the section to deduct
those things as self-employed.

Once you do that work for them, you can list that on your resume and
hopefully get more work of that type. You can have both self-employed
and W2 jobs in the same tax year.

That would be great if you could get the part-time Kaiser job and have
little consulting gigs on the side. The shift would be perfect for
that.

Priya isn't having a lunch this month or next that you know of?

I had a phone interview with the company that is interested in having a
coding consultant. It was with the founder(a nurse practitioner) and the IT
guy. It went well. They want to have a webinar next week to show me their
EMR product and then I can advise them about the coding part. And they will
pay me $50/hr!
Then we will see if they want me, for sure.
Kaiser hasn't called about my test results yet.

I looked at her web site, very interesting. How nice that she
contacted
you. I hope it works out.
Come by and see me when you finish the test on Friday. Just
call my cell
from the hallway, 4th floor, department 440. Good luck on the
test.

I just sent you something else that you might be interested in
for a pedi urgent care, after hours clinic.

Hi, I got this e-mail from someone who is in a company that does
networked education EHR, she was wondering if I'm interested in
  consulting about coding.
I was going to take the Kaiser test but that didn't happen, so
no, I have not taken it yet. It's 30 questions, they give you 3
hours. It's going to be Friday 1-4.
Good that you updated your LinkedIn profile. I met someone who
is one of those people who help patients with complex medical
issues deal with the medical system(this was in the spring, when
I was in a psychology grad student's stress study). Her name is
  Adelaide Nye.

not sure if that's exactly what you're interested in doing, but
thought I would pass this along.
