That reminds me...No Worries, the ONLY place to get vegan Filipino food in the Bay Area, closed this summer due to lack of sufficient business :( I was fortunate to have attended their grand opening, eaten there and shared wonderful meals with friends before they closed their doors and turned into a food truck with limited availability and options. I don't know if it's even operational. The Bay Area should be able to support vegan diversity, but it didn't, and Filipino vegan has fallen off the map. http://filipinoveganfood.com/ I echo what Mike and others said, and I divide my consumer purchasing votes among both omni and veg restaurants. Restaurants are high overhead, low-margin businesses and many of them fail within the first 2 years. That's why I organize meetups at places like Green Cafe Vegan Cuisine--I want them to stay open so I can keep coming for Angel Rice Claypot and Bò Lúc Lác.
