In the spirit of Don Asher, you should ask him
1) What companies or individuals he knows of that might need someone with
your particular skill set?
2) What skills would help you finding a place in today's job market?
You could send an email asking this with a note at the bottom saying that
you'll give him a call, too.
Also, I recommend linkedin'ing with the people you talked to there.
