I was thinking about this again. How did Flora and Marnie approach you about interest in playing musical instruments? And, how did it play out? Do you remember? I was trying to remember how I spent most of my time growing up. There was school, of course, but that didn't take up all my time, I don't think. I remember watching a lot of TV (which was obviously a huge waste of time) and, when we were living in , playing outside. Once I met computers, my time was spent almost entirely with that. > From: http://dummy.us.eu.org/robert (Robert) > Date: Sun, 27 Nov 2011 07:01:38 -0800 > > > From: http://www.juno.com/~bhavaniowl > > Date: Sun, 27 Nov 2011 06:07:55 -0500 > > > > Yes, I guess they were missed opportunities. > > > > No ya never said you wanted to play an instrument. > > I remember playing recorder when I was in first grade (Ms Mooney) and > those red sticks that we banged together. > > > Marnie did the violin > > and Marnie & Flora took guitar lessons. > > I remember playing with that [shitty] guitar we had (the one with nylon > strings) and playing that Boston song (More Than a Feeling). > > It's hard to say why I didn't want to play an instrument, but I'm pretty > sure that some of it was due to the fact that I hated spending money (on > lessons, or buying an instrument), including other people's money.
