I am very sorry that something came up at the very last minute and I will not be able to host this Friday's dinner. Instead of cancelling it off the bat, I want to see if you two (couples) would still like to meetup at the restaurant. If so, please let me know and I will modify the reservation to 4 people; otherwise, i will reschedule this to a different date.
