FWIW, Don Asher's book (http://www.amazon.com/Cracking-The-Hidden-Job-Market/dp/158008494X ) suggests spending no more than 30% of your time applying for jobs.

In fact, here's a suggested weekly score card from Asher:

new people met face to face = 3
new people met online = 5
new posted opportunities applied for = 10
new organizations found = 10
interviews for information = 2

And, then, any phone screens or job interviews are topping on the cake. (It's actually pretty difficult to find that many new people per week.)

Anyway, this worked for me -- you probably have a different system.

Fantastic. Noelle has a temporary job at the moment. I think, despite it being difficult, she's learning a lot.
