As you will see on http://www.google.fr/search?q=ride+alcatraz , you'll need to allocate about 3 hours for a trip to Alcatraz, including finding parking. You'll probably want to book the tour a couple of weeks in advance. If you do book a tour, please tell us so that we can go, too. Also, usually there's a 20 minute wait to get onto a cable car, and the ride lasts about 20-30 minutes, I think. So, allocate about 1 hour for that. Walking across the Golden Gate bridge is about a minute walk each way, plus 15 minutes to find parking. So, that's about 1 1/2 hours. Golden Gate Park is huge and it's probably impossible to walk the whole thing, but we can spend as little or as much time there as you wish. > From: Pascal LECOINTE <http://www.orange.fr/~lecointepi> > Date: Mon, 1 Jul 2013 21:41:47 +0200 (CEST) > > Hi Robert & Noëlle, > We think to do as priority bellow ideas: > >    walking in Golden Gate Park >    walk across the Golden Gate bridge >    ride a cable car >    visit Alcatraz Island >    visit the Bay Area > We are flexible to adjust the visit  agenda . > Let-us known if we do need to book something in advance > We already book a rental car at the Airport  for 5 people at our arrival at > San Francisco.  >  > For the food, it's not an issue, we are open to discover new foods arround > bellow cultures: >   Can, Mexicao/latino, Salads, Italan ( Pizza, Spagetti ...) , > French  > >  > Best Regards > Isabelle & Pascal  > >  >
